We accept queries and unsolicited articles from qualified contributors, and will do our best to provide a timely response. We publish original articles on a range of wildland fire science topics, and our site is aimed at an informed, fire/land management and fire practitioner audience. Most of our articles are within the range of 1,200 - 2,000 words, though we have no firm word limits. We encourage fire researchers to use AFP as an outlet for communicating research results to the field, and we also support articles written by fire practitioners on innovative field practices. Opinion pieces are accepted. Queries or submissions should include a short biography of the author and should be emailed to: jmcdaniel(at)benchmarkrs.com.
