After four years at the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) Office of Emergency Management (OEM) in Washington, DC coordinating the Department’s All-Hazards Incident Management Program Tony is in the process of transitioning to work as a consultant and proprietor of Doty Solutions, which will provide consulting and training solutions that promulgate world-wide Incident Command System (ICS) applications.
Tony was the keynote speaker for the ASEAN/USAID sponsored International Incident Command System Lessons Learned Conference in Ayutthaya, Thailand. He has served on incident management teams in operations, air operations, logistics and command positions on planned events, wildland fires, search & rescue/recovery, high-altitude recovery, flood, seawall collapse, hurricane, law enforcement, oil spill and radiological incidents; as well as supporting the Fire Department New York (FDNY) in the recovery efforts following the attack of the World Trade Center. He is qualified as an Assistant Area Commander Logistics, and Type 1 Incident Commander.
He is a 2011 recipient of the Paul Gleason - Lead by Example Award for mentoring and teamwork and has worked as the DOI Principle National Incident Management System (NIMS) Coordinator; a member of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Operations and Workforce Development Committee (OWDC); the NWCG NIMS Integration Committee; DOI Emergency Management Council (EMC), All-Hazards Incident Subcommittee; the All-Hazards Incident Management Team Association (AHIMTA) and the FEMA National Integration Center, Strategic Resources Group (NIC SRG).
