[State]: California[Date]: 08/4/2022[Incident Type]: Hit by TreeAn IHC crewmember was struck by the top of a tree while assisting a faller. The individual was serving as the swamper, and the top of the tree broke off and impacted the individual’s hip. The crew member was evaluated by line medics and cleared; however the patient later sought medical attention for secondary infection associated by the splinters.
